Suzanne McClendon Symcox

President
Suzie Symcox, a 1976 initiate of Psi chapter at the University of Oklahoma, was re-elected to serve as a Director of the Alpha Chi Omega National Housing Corporation in August. Suzie has been a very active alumna member ever since her graduation. Her service as Director began in 2002. Prior to that, Suzie had served her Psi chapter in a variety of ways – as Chapter Advisor, House Corporation President and Financial Advisor. Suzie has also sat on a number of national committees including the National Housing Corporation’s Strategic Development Committee and the National Scholarship Committee.
Suzie’s impressive resume does not end with Alpha Chi Omega. She is very active in her local community. Among the dozens of organizations that benefit from Suzie’s kindness are: the University of Oklahoma Library Society; United Way of Norman, OK; and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Oklahoma City. When Suzie takes a break from volunteering, she likes to travel, golf, needlepoint and garden.
The Symcox family celebrates Greek life together. Suzie’s husband, Lee, is a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. Her daughter, Lauren, is a legacy, having been initiated into Alpha Chi Omega’s Iota Sigma chapter (Southern Methodist University) in 2000. Finally, John Symcox, Suzie’s son, is a proud Sigma Chi member.
Susan Callahan Forrer
Delta Upsilon, Colorado State University

Susan Callahan Forrer, a 1988 initiate of the Delta Upsilon chapter at Colorado State University, was elected as a Director of the Alpha Chi Omega National Housing Corporation in August. Susan’s volunteer involvement with Alpha Chi Omega has run a wide gamut. She has served the Fraternity in roles ranging from Chapter Advisor (of Beta Lambda at the University of Arizona) to Province Collegiate Chair (of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah) to National Administrator for both Beta Nu (University of Utah) and Beta Xi (Utah State). In 2000, Susan was awarded the Young Alumna Award for her outstanding service to Alpha Chi Omega.
Susan says, “I have so many wonderful Alpha Chi memories. I always think back to my collegiate experience of hanging out at the chapter house with good friends. There was always a sister to laugh or cry with.”
The Forrer family resides in Tucson, Arizona. Susan is a stay-at-home mom to 2-year-old son, Jackson. Her husband, Kyle, is a pilot in the Air Force. The family enjoys spending time together along with two parakeets and one cat, Zelda.
Marie Lippert Botvinick
Epsilon Kappa, California State University - Fullerton
Marie Botvinick, a 1990 initiate of the Epsilon Kappa chapter at California State University – Fullerton, was elected as a Director of the Alpha Chi Omega National Housing Corporation in August. The volunteer roles Marie has served for Alpha Chi Omega are too numerable to list. Marie belongs to both the Delta Omega Delta and Lambda Mu Lambda alumnae chapters. She has been a member of Epsilon Kappa’s House Corporation since 1993, and has filled the treasurer position for the last five years. Additionally, Marie serves as the Province Alumnae Chair for Southern California, and serves on the Council of Alumnae Panhellenics for that region as well.
Outside of Alpha Chi, Marie works is the Director of Global Group Sales for Meeting Sites Resource which conducts site research and contracts negotiations for meetings, conventions and incentives. As a member of University Synagogue and the Orange County Jewish Community Center, she is also very active in her faith life. In Marie’s spare time, you might find her reading, traveling or “spa-ing”.
Marie lives with her husband, Michael, in Oceanside, CA. Her favorite Alpha Chi Omega memory (as an alumna) is when forty sisters circled Marie and Michael while singing “The Wedding Song” during their marriage celebration.
Jennifer Diederich (National Council)
Alpha Omicron, Ohio State University
Jennifer is an initiate of the Alpha Omicron Chapter at The Ohio State University where she received her bachelors in criminology and criminal justice and masters of arts in instructional design and technology. Jennifer currently works for JP Morgan Chase Bank as a Communications Manager.
Jennifer began volunteering for Alpha Chi Omega in 1986, serving as the Alumnae Relations Advisor for Alpha Psi, UCLA. She served as President of Gamma Theta Gamma, Los Angeles Alumnae Chapter from 1988-89. Jennifer served as chair for the Alpha Omicron, Ohio State University 75-year campaign and reunion in 1998. From 1997-2003, Jennifer served as Alpha Omicron Chapter Advisor. In 1997 Jennifer began serving as Alpha Omicron’s Recruitment Advisor.
On the national level Jennifer served as National Administrator for Zeta Theta, Brown University from 1997-2001. In 1996 she began serving as the Director of Province Collegiate Chairs.
Jennifer has also served in a facilitator role for TEAM, LeaderShape and IMPACT alphachiomega from 1994-2001.
Locally Jennifer is the President of The Ohio State University Sorority and Fraternity Alumni Association. She is a board member of the Fraternity Managers Association at The Ohio State University, and a member of Bank One/JP Morgan Chase Instructional Design and E-Learning Committee.
Jennifer’s hometown is Columbus, Ohio where she lives with her dog, Bailey. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys scrapbooking, skiing, reading and book clubs, cooking and traveling.
A favorite AΧΩ memory for Jennifer is when she and best friend Lori Rubadue Smith (after they decided not to influence one another's decisions) both ended up at Alpha Chi Omega on Bid Day. Another special AΧΩ moment was when the Alpha Omicron chapter presented Jennifer with a jewelry box engraved with words from “The Symphony” to thank her for being their Chapter Advisor.
Mary Gavrelos Gregory
Gamma Phi, Lamar University
Mary Gavrelos Gregory, a 1981 initiate of the Gamma Phi chapter at Lamar University in Beaumont, TX, was elected as a Director of the Alpha Chi Omega National Housing Corporation in August. Mary has been active with Alpha Chi Omega for several years, including involvement in the Beta Zeta Beta Houston alumnae chapter, service as chapter advisor for Gamma Upsilon chapter at the University of Houston, and board service as treasurer for Gamma Upsilon’s House Corporation.
Outside of the Alpha Chi Omega arena, Mary enjoys playing Bunco once a month with the women in her neighborhood. She is also often found playing golf, visiting with family and friends, or volunteering for the Hightower High School Booster Club.
Mary and her husband, Gregory, live in Missouri City, TX, a suburb of Houston. They have two daughters, Stephanie Nicole (new member of Gamma Upsilon) and Eleni Marie.
Mary asserts that she has not yet experienced her favorite Alpha Chi Omega moment yet. She expects it will be the moment she pins her daughter, Stephanie, at her upcoming initiation.
