What will your legacy be?
Each of us has an opportunity to perpetuate what we value most—our history and traditions, a better future for the women of tomorrow. If you believe in Alpha Chi Omega and choose to include the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation in your estate, you can secure greater possibilities for real, strong women across generations.
Give the gift of a lifetime and join our Heritage Society
Those who designate a planned gift to the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation immediately become members of our prestigious Heritage Society. To become a member, you need only notify us that you’ve designated the Foundation as a beneficiary of your estate. If you wish—and we hope you will because your example will encourage others—you’ll be recognized along with our other Heritage Society members.
There are many ways to make a planned gift. Many come with long-term tax or financial savings. We encourage you to consider one of the following types of gifts, which represent just a sample of the planned giving options available to you.
Bequest
Including the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation in your will—in the form of cash, securities, real estate, or personal property—transfers assets from your estate to the Foundation while reducing your heirs’ exposure to taxes.
Retirement Plan, Life Insurance Gift
Name the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy, retirement plan, living trust, certificate of deposit, or other financial account.
Life income gift
Ensure a continual source of income while reducing estate taxes. A charitable gift annuity is one such gift, in which your contractual agreement with the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation includes regular payments to you (from the trust company that serves as custodian) in return for your donation.
Charitable Trust
While there are many varieties of trusts and trust documents, a charitable trust typically allows you to make a gift of cash or property to a charity, such as the Foundation, while receiving the income, income tax, and estate tax benefits from the trust while you are living.
To help you plan tomorrow’s gift, utilize the Foundation’s sample bequest language.
