Julie Burkhard retires as Alpha Chi Omega's NPC Delegate
Past National President and Past National Panhellenic Conference Chair Julie Cain Burkhard (Beta Sigma, University of Georgia) has retired from her role as Alpha Chi Omega's NPC Delegate to pursue other opportunities. Julie became Alpha Chi Omega's Delegate in 2003 and rotated onto the executive committee shortly thereafter. From 2008 to 2009, she served as the NPC Chair. In celebration of her accomplishments and years of dedicated service, Alpha Chi Omega will be making a gift to honor her to the NPC Foundaiton. Anyone who would like to honor Julie may do so with a gift to the NPC Foundation or the Julie Cain Burkhard Beta Sigma Scholarship Fund with the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation. The Alpha Chi Omega Foundation grant is a merit-based scholarship, focusing on the following criteria: academic excellence, leadership, campus and community involvement and financial need.
The sisters of Alpha Chi Omega are most appreciative of the years she has dedicated to her service to both Alpha Chi Omega and the National Panhellenic Conference. For those who have worked closely with Julie whether in her role as National Vice President, National President or National Panhellenic Conference Delegate, and those who have watched from afar the strides she has made on the executive committee, it is a proud time for Alpha Chi Omega to honor such a committed and caring sister who epitomizes the organization's brand: Real. Strong. Women.

We are now seeking applicants for alumna educators and for the National Alumna Initiate Panel, which will approve all alumna initiate candidates and prepare them for education about Alpha Chi Omega's special sisterhood.
The deadline to apply is August 20th. Learn how you can be involved!

Alpha Chi Omega recognized for work for domestic violence awareness
On May 7, 2010, National President Marsha Grady accepted the Jane Doe Award on behalf of the Fraternity from the Genesis Women's Shelter in Dallas. The Jane Doe Award recognizes an individual or group’s extraordinary efforts on behalf of the battered women and children who must remain nameless and faceless as they escape the violence they have known. Marsha was joined at the award's banquet by guest speaker Dr. Condoleezza Rice (Gamma Delta, University of Denver).
