Collegiate Chapter Awards

Awards for collegiate chapters are given in many categories.  The deadline for submissions is March 1st each convention year.

2010 National Council Trophy Award Recipient

The National Council Trophy is presented annually to the collegiate chapter, or chapters, that best exemplifies the ideals and mission of Alpha Chi Omega..

  • The chapter utilizes a strategic planning survey in order to gauge the experience of their members and receive input on what is going well and what needs to change.
  • The chapter hosts “Legends of the Hidden Temple” where teams advance to stations as the answer Ritual questions correctly.
  • The chapter has been first in grades for 27 semesters of all fraternal groups on campus.
  • The chapter hosts a scholarship dinner with faculty interaction. They award a faculty member who inspires students, thinks out of the box, and goes out of their way for their students.
  • The chapter initiated 100% of their new members. The New Member Manual contains information to help new members feel welcome, informed, and a part of the organization from the very beginning.
  • The chapter shows commitment to Domestic Violence Awareness through several philanthropy events, including a booth at the Maple Leaf Festival and Spiking Out Domestic Violence (a volleyball tournament).
  • The chapter has hosted several risk management workshops with topics including alcohol awareness, Mocktails, sex trafficking, and self-defense.

2010 Continuing Excellence Award Recipients

Presented to the chapter(s) which continues to demonstrate outstanding achievement in chapter programming, recruitment and retention of members.  In order to be considered for this award, a chapter must have received the National Council Trophy or Continuing Excellence Award at least once during the last five years.

2010 Progress Award Recipient

The Progress Award is presented annually to the collegiate chapter(s) demonstrating the most quantifiable progress and improvement during the academic year.  Chapters wishing to be considered for this award must provide a supporting letter from a university official or member of the chapter’s advisory board or house corporation board/property management team.
