Chapter Housing Funds

Through chapter housing funds, donors can make tax-deductible gifts for educational improvements to chapter facilities within the guidelines provided by the IRS. These funds can be granted to the local house corporation or National Housing Corporation to pay for the construction, renovation, redecoration, furnishing or operations of educational portions of the designated chapter’s facility. Examples of educational areas include study rooms and libraries. Examples of educational equipment include desks and chairs, computers, printers, etc.

Funds raised are designated to benefit a specific chapter and can be raised as part of a capital campaign or on an ongoing basis. The process of establishing a chapter housing fund requires documentation related to the house corporation’s organizational structure and health, facility square footage and usage, project cost estimates, etc. Funds may be established for large-scale renovations, new facility builds, small-scale projects or to support ongoing operations.
