Volunteer summit 2025 recap
We were so excited to welcome more than 200 attendees to Indianapolis for Volunteer Summit 2025! Chapter advisors, province officers, select operational volunteer teams and local house corporation officers were invited to join us for three days of training, skill growth and sisterhood!
We welcomed volunteers to Indy from July 11-13, 2025, for a weekend focused on three major themes: people management, burnout and having fun. In addition to our themes, Volunteer Summit aims to support volunteers’ growth in our eight volunteer core competencies. By combining keynotes, large group sessions and trainings specially designed for their role, volunteers were empowered to continue serving our sisterhood.
Through the generous support of the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation, many guest speakers joined us throughout Volunteer Summit. KJ McNamara kicked us off with a keynote about navigating conflict as women in leadership, and we concluded with a session about mental health and resiliency from Jasmine C. Williams. In addition to topical sessions, attendees spent ample time connecting with each other through roundtable discussions, brainstorming opportunities and panel discussions.
Prior to Volunteer Summit, attendees were invited to participate in our Strengths to Stand Out: Your Brand Blueprint Pre-Summit Workshop. Participants explored their personal strengths, how to leverage them in their personal and professional lives, and how to develop a personal brand with our speakers Heather Kay (Theta Chi, Lehigh University) and Heather Hall (Delta Zeta, Central Michigan University). Thank you to Gill Grilling, Upper Crust and Greek House Chefs for Sponsoring our Pre-Summit Workshop!
Volunteer Summit is an incredibly valuable part of the Alpha Chi Omega volunteer experience, and we are so grateful for those who invested in themselves throughout the weekend!
What do our volunteers have to say about Volunteer Summit?
"I spent the weekend with leaders who volunteer their time, creating goals and strategizing how to achieve them. Alpha Chi Omega has given me so many training opportunities, networking and my closest friends over the years. It's more than four years, but a lifetime."
— Province Alumnae Chair
"Volunteer Summit this year was incredible. It's so fun to connect with sisters from all stages of my Alpha Chi Omega journey! The sisterhood truly is for life. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to be mentored by real, strong women and to mentor the next generation of real, strong women."
