Explanation of Cost

Learning financial responsibility is a valuable life skill for our members. Learning about the costs of Alpha Chi Omega—whether paying membership fees or operating on a balanced chapter budget while serving as a chapter leader—is part of the experience.
The cost of Alpha Chi Omega can vary by chapter location and member. The costs of housing, meals, dues and programming are our greatest expenses and can vary by school. Outside of individual chapter fees are national dues and fees.
We understand paying for college is a huge expense. That’s why the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation offers scholarships and grants to a limited number of students to offset the cost of the experience. The availability and award amount of scholarships and grants vary by year, depending on the generosity of our donors and the performance of our investments.

Our members pay national dues and fees to support the activities and operations of our organization.

Each chapter also establishes its own costs for housing and meals, dues and other fees. Chapter costs are determined by chapter members and are listed in the chapter’s bylaws, along with the time and method of payment.

Commitment to living in the facility

Members who join a campus in which Alpha Chi Omegas has a facility will have at minimum a one-year (two semesters or three quarters) live-on requirement. Members typically live in during their sophomore or junior year. Like the chapter establishing its own costs, it can decide to increase this live-in requirement greater than one academic year.

Alumnae dues are paid directly to your alumnae chapter and vary by chapter. Annual alumnae chapter dues are typically around $50, and many chapters offer discounts for recent graduates or milestone members.
