Lambda Pi
University of Mississippi
Project Scope
Housing is a critical element of the sorority experience on the University of Mississippi’s campus. Competitive, attractive and safe housing is crucial to Lambda Pi’s ability to recruit and retain members. To ensure the continued success of the chapter, the National Housing Corporation (NHC) has developed a plan to construct a new chapter home on Rebel Drive.
This 26,500 square-foot project will include: *
- Bedroom spaces with built-in furniture for 64 live-in members
- Formal dining room and dedicated chapter room
- Common area spaces including living room, library, conference room, resident lounge, 5 dedicated study/lounges, 2 private study rooms
- 3 residential bathrooms and laundry rooms
- A president’s suite with built-in furniture and a house director suite with a private kitchen, washer and dryer
*Project scope and features are subject to change throughout the design and engineering process
- Grand entry with monumental staircase, an elevator and an open courtyard
- Dual-use basement storm shelter and art/ crafting space
Attractive spaces that feature the best technology and resources for academic success provide an invaluable advantage to our members. The experience of living and learning among a sisterhood of real, strong women contributes to academic success and impacts our members for a lifetime.

Fresh Start
As we shared in August, the current plan is that in December 2025, the existing structure will be demolished and construction on your new home will begin. The construction timeline for the new house will be 18 months, with a planned tentative reopening in August 2027.
Communications
Project funding and opportunities
The NHC will be making a significant investment in the chapter facility, however, to ensure the financial strength of the chapter, the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation has announced a campaign to support the development of the new facility on Rebel Drive.
Gifts to the campaign can be pledged over a five-year period and are fully tax-deductible through the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation. All gifts of $2,500 or more will be included on a permanent donor recognition plaque in the chapter house.
For questions about the campaign and information on naming recognition, please contact Marsha Grady, chief development officer, at 317-981-2790 OR mgrady@alphachiomega.org.
