Alumnae Awards

Our alumnae are making positive impacts in their communities, in their professions and in Alpha Chi Omega. Each year, we like to recognize exceptional alumnae for their efforts as well as honor our alumnae who go above and beyond in promoting the values of Alpha Chi Omega.

Award of Achievement

This annual award recognizes outstanding alumnae who have made significant contributions resulting in national or regional recognition in their chosen professional fields.  Fields include but are not limited to the performing arts, literature, civic affairs, business, education and science.

Alumna Appreciation Award

This award recognizes an alumna who has given many volunteer hours to Alpha Chi Omega faithfully and unselfishly through the years on the local level. Nominees should have provided sustained and outstanding service to Alpha Chi Omega in areas such as collegiate house corporation or property management team, recruitment assistance, alumnae chapter leadership and participation, or community involvement in the name of Alpha Chi Omega. *Note--National Council members, province officers and national committee chairs of the Fraternity are ineligible for this award for five years after the completion of their term of office.

Young Alumna Award 

The Young Alumna Award recognizes an alumna who has been initiated in the past 12 years for her outstanding service to Alpha Chi Omega. Nominees should have given outstanding service to Alpha Chi Omega on the local level in several of the following areas: member of a collegiate chapter advisory board; member of a collegiate chapter house corporation or property management team; officer of an alumnae chapter; active involvement in support of a collegiate chapter, in an altruistic project, and/or in community activities in the name of Alpha Chi Omega; submitter of recruitment information for prospective members, and participant in the alumnae Panhellenic community.

Outstanding Dedication AWARD 

The Outstanding Dedication Award recognizes an alumna who currently give many volunteer hours to Alpha Chi Omega faithfully and unselfishly. Nominees should currently be providing outstanding service to Alpha Chi Omega in areas such as collegiate house corporation or property management team, advisory board, recruitment assistance, alumnae chapter leadership and participation, Foundation support or community involvement in the name of Alpha Chi Omega.

Chapter Awards

At each convention, Alpha Chi Omega celebrates the accomplishments of its collegiate and alumnae chapters and recognizes outstanding service by presenting alumnae chapter awards. Details about our alumnae awards, including criteria and submission dates, are available online.
 
In order to be eligible for an award the chapter must remain in good standing with the Fraternity throughout the calendar year.
 
It is recommended that chapter representatives utilize this awards guide to learn about the awards process, including how to create applications in Smarter Select and the criteria and requirements for each award.

Seeking the Heights awards are designed to recognize chapters that excel in various areas of chapter management, member support and development.

NATIONAL COUNCIL TROPHY

This award is presented to the alumnae chapter that best exemplifies the ideals and mission of Alpha Chi Omega through its accomplishments in all areas of alumnae chapter development. Selection of recipients is the responsibility of the National Council.
To be considered for the National Council Trophy, the alumnae chapter must complete the National Council Trophy application and submit four (4) Seeking the Heights award applications.

CONTINUING EXCELLENCE AWARD

This award is presented to the alumnae chapter that best exemplifies the ideals and mission of Alpha Chi Omega through its accomplishments in all areas of alumnae chapter development. In order to be considered for this award, an alumnae chapter must have received the National Council Trophy or Continuing Excellence Award at least once during the last five years and have applied for the National Council Trophy during the current award selection process.
