Educational Assistance Grants

In 2020, CollegeBoard noted that tuition rates increase at roughly twice the general inflation rate. That means tuition tends to increase about 8% per year, resulting in the cost of college doubling every nine years.

The Alpha Chi Omega Foundation offers need-based educational awards to our Alpha Chi Omega sisters, which we call Educational Assistance Grants. Grants are made possible by generous donors who have established endowed funds with the Foundation. Grant awards vary each year depending on market returns on our endowed funds and the distribution voted on annually by the Board of Trustees; however, typical awards range from $500-$1,500. In 2020-21, with help from a grant from the Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, these grants provided more than $110,000 to sisters to assist with their academic endeavors. Want to help sisters experiencing financial challenges in meeting their educational goals? Make a gift to an educational assistance fund.

These grants are open to both collegiate and alumnae Alpha Chi Omega members.

Educational assistance grant applications are reviewed twice a year. Check back in mid-August for the fall application.
