DVAM IS RECOGNIZED NATIONALLY DURING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER.

To fight against unhealthy relationships and build healthy relationships, Alpha Chi Omega headquarters provides a number of opportunities for members to highlight their service to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, to educate themselves and others about healthy relationships, and to raise awareness of the cause.
  1. Join the conversation: Join Alpha Chi Omega and various domestic violence and healthy relationship experts for conversations honoring Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
    1. Supporting Survivors: Panel discussion featuring panelists from the National Domestic Violence Hotline (NDVH), StrongHearts Native Helpline and additional partners to be announced!
    2. Popular Culture and the 10 Signs of Healthy/Unhealthy Relationships with the One Love Foundation
    3. Keynote: Beverly Gooden, Creator of #WhyIStayed
  2. Educate yourself and others: Download the “Domestic Violence and Oppression” program and facilitate a conversation with your chapter, your friends/family and/or in your community about the different way survivors experience oppression due to their identities during their journey toward safety.
