We need your help! Is your chapter empowering conversations in your campus community about hazing prevention and education? We want to hear from you! Below are some ways you can be engaged during National Hazing Prevention Week, September 20-24, 2021. We will have prizes and opportunities to showcase your chapter on a national level.

  • Create a social media graphic that captures your chapter’s commitment to hazing prevention. Post it online and tag Alpha Chi Omega on Instagram or Facebook using #RSWdonthaze for a chance to win $100 for your chapter’s risk management budget.
  • Click here to watch a recording of Alpha Chi Omega’s National Hazing Prevention Week webinar with special keynote speaker Kathleen Wiant. Kathleen is part of the Anti-Hazing Coalition comprised of parents who have lost a child due to hazing and now speak to fraternity and sorority students about the opportunity to eradicate hazing.
  • Click here to register for the Anti-Hazing Coalition’s “Love, Mom and Dad: Turing Tragedy into Progress” nationwide presentation and discussion. The program will be hosted via Zoom and live on Facebook with several parents sharing their sons’ stories and educating current students about hazing prevention. The program will include Q&A with the parents.

  • Show your support on social media by posting on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter about your chapter’s commitment to hazing prevention using the hashtag #RSWdonthaze. Reshare Alpha Chi Omega’s National Hazing Prevention Week graphics on social media.
  • Have your chapter’s VP risk management share the 2021 hazing prevention poster and facilitate the conversation starter. All hazing prevention posters can be found here.‚Äč
  • Take the hazing prevention pledge! Make a pledge to prevent hazing before it occurs, stop hazing when you see it happening, report it when you know it has transpired and help empower others to do the same.
  • Educate your chapter and community on the facts about hazing, the spectrum of hazing behavior and hazing’s negative consequences on well-being with information from and
  • Be aware of the Greek Anti-Hazing Hotline providing an anonymous telephone line for anyone to report a suspected or recent hazing incident: 888-NOT-HAZE (888-668-4293).
