The Jed Foundation

A commitment to collegiate health

Oftentimes, you may know someone who's in emotional distress and may need help. In collaboration with The Jed Foundation, Alpha Chi Omega created three new resources to offer guidance:

Alpha Chi Omega provides its collegiate members and their parents with information about mental health and wellness through its partnership with The Jed Foundation, a leading nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote emotional health among college and university students. In September 2014, Alpha Chi Omega became the first National Panhellenic Conference women’s organization to affiliate with The Jed Foundation, joining men’s fraternities Sigma Chi and Sigma Alpha Epsilon in reaching college students on this important topic.

The Jed Foundation offers ULifeline, which Alpha Chi Omega promotes to its collegiate members nationwide. ULifeline is an anonymous, confidential online resource center, allowing students to find information about a variety of mental health topics any time of day. Students will have access to additional information about resources available on their respective campuses.

Through the guidance of respected experts in the fields of mental health and higher education, The Jed Foundation has become the leading nonprofit organization addressing issues related to mental health and suicide in the college population. Alpha Chi Omega sought the collaboration in an effort to provide research-based best practices to help its members navigate their collegiate experience.
