Chapter Housing Funds

Through chapter housing funds, donors can make tax-deductible gifts for educational improvements to chapter facilities within the guidelines provided by the IRS. These funds can only be used for the percentage of the housing project related to educational areas or for furnishings and equipment specifically identified for educational purposes. Examples of educational areas include study rooms and libraries. Examples of educational equipment include desks and chairs, computers, printers, etc.

A one-time 5% administrative fee is assessed on all donations for housing.

Chapters and house corporations can work with the Foundation to establish a chapter housing fund. The process of establishing a chapter housing fund requires documentation related to the corporation’s organizational structure and health, facility square footage and usage, project cost estimates, etc. Funds may be established large-scale renovations, new facility builds or small-scale projects, with a minimum of $5,000.

The following chapters have active housing campaigns:

Beta Sigma, University of Georgia

The Campaign for 1064 S. Lumpkin launched in 2017 and in three short years surpassed it's fundraising goal of $1,000,000. Sisters from six different decades and friends of Beta Sigma came together to contribute and make  a dream come true for the chapter. Fundraising continues for The Campaign for 1064 S. Lumpkin. Your contribution will make a difference for Beta Sigma chapter in a positive way.

While the fundraising goal has been reached, we continue to accept gifts to the fund to further reduce the chapter's financial burden from the renovations. To make a gift please click here

Iota Sigma

The Building a Future for Iota Sigma campaign launched in 2018 and in just three years has raised more than $1,000,000. The campaign has a generous matching gift of up to $500,000. So far, we have raised $400,000 and "unlocked” that same amount from the matching gift donor. We still hope to fulfill the last $100,000 of the match – any gifts that come in will be doubled through it! To make a gift, please visit the Iota Sigma Chapter Housing Fund gift page.

We are grateful to the many donors who have committed their gifts to the campaign for Iota Sigma. Visit the donor listing to see those who have given generously.
