Alpha Chi Omega, alongside 25 fellow women’s Greek organizations, is a member of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC).
The NPC provides Alpha Chi Omega a voice in the fraternal community. In addition, our members benefit from this expanded Greek community, allowing them to network with NPC members who are initiates of other sororities. The NPC also provides resources like The Sorority Life, a valuable asset for potential new members, parents and alumnae. Overall, our representation in NPC helps us establish a strong reputation and influence in the Greek community.
Founded in 1902, the NPC is North America’s oldest and largest women’s membership organization. It offers support to member organizations and is a reliable voice on contemporary sorority life. Together, approximately 4.4 million Greek-initiated women from 655 colleges and universities work with the NPC to raise more than $3.3 million yearly in scholarships for women. In addition, they donate more than 700,000 community service hours. There are approximately 4,000 alumnae chapters in the U.S. and Canada.
