Zeta Nu, Texas A&M University

After two decades in the business and rising to the position of CEO of North Texas Imaging Hampton Center, Yvette Martinez has numerous professional accolades. But when asked to express her greatest accomplishment, she points out that it is “in each of the women that I have had the opportunity to mentor and who they have become and what they have accomplished in their own lives as leaders, educators, mothers and philanthropists.”

Martinez’s focus on empowering women is evident in all areas of her life. She is a member of the Genesis Women’s Shelter Alliance, acting as a community ambassador to educate women about domestic violence. She has taken this connection with Genesis back to Beta Kappa Beta (Dallas, Texas) alumnae chapter, where she serves as vice president philanthropy. She has built a bridge so the chapter is more aware of how it can assist in Genesis’ ongoing needs, and she has encouraged sisters to increase involvement, with activities that include donation drives and events with the shelter’s children.

Moreover, Martinez is a Ritual and fraternity appreciation advisor at Iota Sigma (Southern Methodist University) chapter and a director for the Aggie Women’s Network at Texas A&M University, where she provides mentorship.

And in her business, where she provides full-service outpatient diagnostic testing, she encourages her employees to pursue higher education, with many earning scholarships and degrees. She insists that supporting women betters the world.
“My efforts to inspire upon young women the importance of education and how it affects our decision-making in life ultimately contributes to the overall wellness of our communities,” she explains.
